Ayodhya is situated on the bank of river Sarayu.

The temple is being built at the site believed to be the birthplace of Lord Rama, and it holds great significance for millions of Hindus.

The 3-storey Mandir is built in the traditional Nagara style with  Pink sandstone from Mirzapur and the hills of Bansi-Paharpur area in Bharatpur district of Rajasthan has been used in the construction of the temple.

16-28 idols of deities adorn each of the 390 pillars. The walls will also have carvings of mythological figure.

Ayodhya was originally a 144 Km long and 36 Km wide city. It was set up by Manuji Maharaj and survived for a long time.

The reports say there is no use of steel in the making of Ram temple, and the temple is entirely built of stones.

Ayodhya is well connected to nearby railway stations and major stations throughout north India. 

Future-ready artificial intelligence (AI) surveillance is likely to be introduced for the security of Ram Mandir.

It has been built at an estimated cost of Rs 1,800 crore and has an overall area of 71 acres. The total width is 250 feet and height is 161 feet.

B.B.Lal conducted the first survey to find evidence of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya dating to 1976-1977 when the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) conducted excavations at the site.

The excavation revealed the presence of a large structure with features consistent with a Hindu temple beneath the Babri Masjid, which previously stood at the site.

The estimated cost of the project is indeed around 1800 crore rupees. The funds are being used for the construction of the temple complex, including the main temple structure, landscaping, infrastructure, and other associated facilities
